Armenian Stone reliefs Destroyed by the Aliyev Family’s Orders in Nakhichevan

the Azeri military has destroyed a thousand year old Armenian Cemetery in Julia in the Historic Armenian City, presently occupied by Azerbaijan as the province of Nakhichevan. The Azeris were sanctioned by UNESCO for destroying an Armenian Cultural Heritage Site. They were subsequently banned from Nakhichevan in 2006.

This still image is captured from video depicting the en masses destruction of Khachkars by Azeri Soldiers. The Cemetery, once having 6,000 headstones has been erased of any and all signs of Khachkars and replaced with a military base.

This is the contribution of the Azeri culture to the world: destruction of cemeteries.

The Aliyev Family has roots in the Armenian lands known as Nakhichevan. They have come to believe that cultural destruction of Armenian sites will change the history of these occupied Armenian lands.
