Korykos Castle

Korykos Castle is a fortified island castle once connected by a breakwater to the terrestrial Korykos castle onshore. Korykos was an important Armenian fortress that defended the shoreline of Armenian Cilicia. Revisionist turkification of the Armenian history of Korykos has incorrectly named the fortress Korkos and attempted to erase the Armenian origins of the castle.
