The Kingdom of Armenian Cilicia is an intrinsic part of the history of Asia Minor and the Mediterranean. Since antiquity, Cilicia has been the historic homeland of Armenians; up until the Armenian Genocide. The Catholicosate of Sis has petitioned for the return of the Catholicosate in Sis, and the restoration of the Armenian ethnos in its historic homeland.
