A Kurd woman living in Armenian Mush (Mus) in the Armenian Highlands of Asia Minor. Armenians lived alongside Kurds in separate districts of the towns and ciites of Armenian for centuries. Many present day inhabitants of the Armenian highlands are ethnically Armenians living as Kurds and Turks because of institutionalized Armenophobia among the population.
